A few weeks before the boys started school, we went up to our ward camp out, but only for the evening. It was so fun, and the boys were in heaven! In fact, I pretty much didn't see Brayden or Conner at all while we were there, they were off running, getting dirty and playing with their friends. Landon loved being outside. He loves to play outside, but since it's too hot lately for him to go play, he was loving the cooler weather and some fresh air. So did the rest of us. We went up to have dinner with our ward and visited with many friends. It was nice to get out of the house for all of us and get into some cooler weather! (notice in the pictures we are all wearing sweatshirts??)
We had to pull out some actual shoes for Landon to wear (sandals wouldn't be a good choice camping) and we got some of Brayden's old Nemo shoes out that light up as you walk. He thought they were the GREATEST thing ever!! He kept going up to anyone who would look and lift up his foot and say "fishy" while pointing at his shoes. He was pretty excited about them, it was so funny!
After a few hours of playing and hanging out, we drove back home, and when we got home, this is how we found the boys in the back seat.... Landon still wide awake, but the other 2 ran, hiked, and screamed every last ounce of energy out of them before we left. It was a great evening.
Apparently, brothers are great for sleeping on!
Maybe next year we will actually spend the night!
